(P95/ slice)
I was never a fan of Sans Rival coz I find it too sweet. I really prefer butter or choco cakes-- I can never say no to it! But due to a lot of raves I read about this mango sans rival, I decided to try it out. Did I like it? It was good.. the mango was a refreshing addition to the cake. Although after a while, it becomes too sweet as the icing starts to melt. There is an "umay" factor after you finish eating a slice. Will I buy again? Probably yes.. but not something I'd crave for always.
Anyway, It wasn't my first time to try their cakes. I've tried their Banana Toffee Pie a couple of months ago but ended up disappointed. It melted on my way home (my house was about 15-20 mins. away from their store) so I wasn't able to really enjoy it. Nothing beats Banapple's Banoffee Pie.. hands down!!

I do recommend you try their 40 Cloves of Garlic Chicken! Had it for lunch yesterday.. and it's so good! A bit too oily but really tasty. The chicken blends well with the herbs, and I loved the baby potatoes too. Too bad I wasn't able to take a photo of it. Hehe. :)
Happy weekend y'all.

Vernz: hehe.. pero mas gusto ko Conti's Mango Bravo than this Mango Sans Rival :) ay, no rin e. Baka down lang.
Hey, I love chicken with 40 cloves of garlic but I cook my own...
Not a fan of sansrival either...
This is one of the reasons I miss home. Our cakes fare much much better than others... :)
Sans rival is yummy enough, but mango in it must be better! ;-)

I'm a fan of sansrival. :) I like how that butter and... what's that, meringue (?) melt in your mouth. ;)
@peachkins: I wanna ask mom to cook also!! haha.. I'll look for a recipe :)
@mirage2g: the mango makes it less nakakaumay. but still, it's too sweet especially when the buttercream is soft na.
@J: i got curious lang kaya I tried it. Hehe.. oh well, proven na na I'm not into sans rival talaga.
Looks so sweet...I love to pair it with black coffee.
i also find sans rival too sweet. but somebody brought a great tasting sans rival to the office recently. i believe it was from Purple Oven.
@belle: i paired it with black coffee yesterday to balance the sweetness.
@luna: well i guess, i'd go for my usual choco or butter cakes nalang. haha.. pero di naman ako disappointed. wala pang cake from Kitchen's Best na may wow factor for me. Hmmm...
Yummy cakes!
I love those cakes! Can have a bite?
Cake for breakfast? Nice nice nice! Yan ang breakfast! :)
My Yummy Sunday post is up HERE.
sweetness galore! I'm sure energetic ka all day with enough sugar! lol!
@jenn: early sugar rush!
@willa: ay sa sobrang tamis.. i craved for something sour or salty... haha, so we had sinigang na corned beef from Sentro for lunch. I love anything sweet, hehe pero di ko kinaya ang sans rival.
where is this located? i wanna try!
dyanie: pasong tamo extension in makati.
