Starbucks Cranberry and Raisin Whole Wheat Bread

I've been badly missing the Fruit and Nut toast offered in Starbucks (here in Manila) few months ago. It got me really hooked that I can stand eating it everyday. It tastes so good even without jam or butter; just have it toasted and you're ready to enjoy it.

I had a trip to Thailand during Holy Week and surprised to find this-- CRANBERRY AND RAISIN WHOLE WHEAT BREAD. It looked the same as the Fruit and Nut toast but without the nuts. Instead, it had dried fruits (cranberry and raisins) on whole wheat bread.  Of course, I did not let this pass. I had to try it!

The verdict-- it tastes good with strawberry jam. Unlike the fruit and nut toast which you can eat without any spread, this one's a bit bland if you do not use the jam or butter that goes with it. However, the bread was cut thickly so it can really make you full. Yummy to have it toasted a bit first before you eat it.

And guess what, before we left back to Manila, I bought 2 more pieces to bring home. Hahaha! I also bought one Espresso Choco Chip brownie (which I'll post here in the next couple of days). :)

I wish Starbucks can bring back the Fruit and Nut toast already or at least offer this Cranberry and Raisin bread as an alternative!

It's been a while since I've been to Starbucks (versus working in Manila where we are there sipping coffee at least once a week!). I miss my coffee-drinking buddies...
