We ordered a lot from Baguio Country Club's Pastry Shop again and aside from the usual favorites (Raisin Bread, Sovital Bread, Banana Loaf and Cinnamon Rolls), we tried the carrot loaf this time. I remember trying this once several years back but already forgot how it tastes like.
Verdict? Yes, it was moist but something's lacking in the loaf itself. It doesn't have pineapple bits like other carrot cakes and walnuts were just a couple of pieces on top of the loaf. The loaf was too plain making it a bit "nakakaumay".
I think I'll still go for their banana loaf! My carrot cake will have to be from Chocolat instead, LOL... :)
By the way, we also tried their raisin bonnets and it was good! Size were like mini cupcakes (same as French Baker's raisin bonnet) with lots of raisins and a hint of cinnamon. What I liked is that it remained soft even if you do not reheat before eating it, plus it was not airy like other breads which are hollow inside.
Happy Saturday!!
