Fettucini ala Carbonara

I was never a fan of anything with cream or white sauce, whether on pasta, viand or any of my food. However, my cousin was able to convince me to try The French Baker's Fettucini ala Carbonara when we met up for lunch few weeks ago. This was her order too since it's her favorite!

My verdict? It did taste good. The creaminess of the sauce was just right. I can probably consider ordering this again during the rare times I'll have cravings for carbonara. Hahaha.

A Roman tradition consisting of cooked fettucini pasta tossed in carbonara sauce made with bacon and cheese-flavored eggs, sided with grilled foccacia slices or french garlic toast

Next time, I wanna try the beef lasagna which her boyfriend ordered. It looks so meaty, cheesy and yummy!

What's your favorite French Baker dish?

I love cream-based pasta dishes, or any dushes for that matter and I will surely try this soon. I love French Baker's breads but I haven't gotten around trying most of their dishes. But your post reminds me that I should pay a visit soon :)

I love cream-based pastas and from my experience, it's those that are made by high-end restaurants that are usually great in taste. In normal stores, I tend to overdose on the pepper para di ako ma-umay. HAHA!

I always pick up the chocolate palmiers whenever I'm at French Baker. It's always been about the bread and pastry for me; the meals leave me bored and disinterested.

Yes, try the beef lasagna! I can attest to that ;) Make sure though you have an empty stomach before eating ;)

Since macarons are relatively new, I'm looking forward to taste French Baker's version though I heard that there's nothing special.
