I first discovered Garrett's in Universal Studios in Singapore. I ordered the Caramel Pecan Crisp and it was SO DAMN GOOD. Caramel popcorn with pecan nuts... oooohh perfect! Just a couple of months ago, someone gave me a small bag of Garrett's Chicago Mix popcorn. It's a mixture of cheese and caramel popcorn... hmmm, interesting!
I am not so fond of cheesy stuff but I liked this one! The sweet caramel and salty cheese flavor complements each other. It's not so nakakaumay unlike if you order a whole bag of caramel (though I don't mind, I love sweet stuff anyway). A small bag costs about P250+ if converted to our currency. Not bad coz it's good for sharing.
I wish we have Garrett's here. :( I tried Chicago Popcorn Shops in Greenbelt before but I found it uhmmm, just okay. Paging Garrett's Popcorn, please put up a branch in Manila!!! :)
11 shout-outs:
I love the sweet and salty kinds of popcorn too, not the ones we have in movie houses, parang meh lang XD Anyway, haven't tried Garrett's Popcorn yet, but sana nga they have a branch here so I can try their popcorn + you can have your fix ;)
i love this popcorn! although nauumay ako pag sobrang dami na nakain ko hehe although mahilig ako sa cheese, di ko masyado feel ang cheese ng Garrett, mas gusto ko ang caramel. yum yum!
I like caramel popcorn :) It sure would be nice to bring Garrett's here in the Philippines. I'm sure it's going to sell.
@The Purple Doll: totally agree!!
@avagabondmom: i prefer caramel too :D
@Enchie: i wish!
I loooove Garrett's Chicago Mix! Looking forward to my SG trip in a couple of months yayyyy!
Have you tried pala bringing back a bag or a tin can to Manila? Does it get makunat? I want to bring some home sana eh hehe. :))
^ this was actually a pasalubong, it's in a small bag. The cheese got a bit makunat but ok pa rin, unlike the other popcorn na kadiri na if makunat. :)
Love Garretts! Chicage Mix's my favorite flavor. =)
i love holy kettle, kettle korn and chef tony too! I must try this one naman :)
Not a big popcorn fan, but the flavor combo sounds interesting. Have you tried PopCorners popcorn chips, by the way? They're disturbingly addictive crunchies...
@midge: not yet... Interesting! I'll look for one :)
Wait until you taste yung spicy cheese and caramel popcorn nila :)
