Tuna Dekada wheat pao (again!)

After having noodles for two consecutive days, I wanted to eat a sandwich for lunch today. I was looking for a Subway branch in Alabang but unfortunately didn't see any. Since I needed a quick lunch, I just went to Gourmet Pao and decided to try it again.

Tuna Dekada
Grande size for P120

I initially wanted to try their Tuna Puttanesca or Chili Con Carne pao but it wasn't available in wheat. They only had 4 flavors in wheat buns available from their menu this afternoon-- Pesto Veggie, Seven Treasures, Dancing Queen and Tuna Dekada. I wanted something spicy so I chose to have Tuna Dekada despite a not so satisfying experience I've shared here in my blog before.

The Tuna Dekada had spicy tuna, capers, egg and cheese. Really loaded with fillings!

The first time I've tried it, we had it for takeout and ate it the following day. It disappointed me! However, during this second try, it actually tasted better. I ate it right after I bought it. It was fresh from the steamer so the bun was soft and the filling still hot. I think you'll enjoy it better that way so you gotta consume it right after buying.

I just hope they make the wheat pao available in mini sizes. The grande size is a bit big especially if you're not that hungry or you just wanted a light snack. I still find it a bit pricey though since flavors aren't that really "unique".. the only difference is it's not the usual asado or bola-bola siopao that we see around and you can opt to have it on wheat bun.

It looks massive, and good thing puno naman ng fillings. I see a Gourmet Pao in SM Fairview but I haven't bothered buying, any other must try sis? :)

two palang na-try ko.. Tuna Dekada and Pesto-Veggie. nung first try ko sa pareho, medyo disappointing, pero sa 2nd try, better naman. yung ibang flavors kasi walang wheat version.
