Vigan Longaniza, Egg and Mozzarella on Whole Wheat Pandesal

I rarely ate longaniza due to it's aftertaste that stays for a long time. I only pick the kinds of longaniza I eat-- skinless longaniza, Lucban and the one from Jollibee. But today, I suddenly got curious with Starbucks' new breakfast sandwich so I tried it for lunch.

It's like the breakfast muffins sold in McDonald's but with a different and more Pinoy-inspired filling. It has slices of Vigan longaniza which gives it a garlicky and tangy flavor plus scrambled egg, cheese and tomato salsa.

I was kinda disappointed to find out that it has mayonnaise. Ugh, I hate mayonnaise! Good thing I didn't ask that they heat it so I was still able to scrape the mayonnaise off. Going back, the taste was fine though but probably since I'm not a fan of longaniza, then it's something I won't crave for. The longaniza was a bit fatty (but I guess it's really how it's supposed to be); I liked the egg and cheese part better. Hahaha!

Well for those who loves longaniza, then I'm sure they'll appreciate this sandwich better. :)

Happy weekend!!

This looks like an interesting combo. :)

Unfortunately, I hate mayonnaise too. Thanks for sharing that it has mayonnaise. I'm a bit of a picky eater so when I order burger or any stuff that has mayonnaise I tell the staff to remove it or make it plain.

Have a nice weekend. :)

Interesting to know that Starbucks (Philippines) caters to Pinoys' taste.

This is something new to try out, but I prefer to eat longganisa with rice. Thanks for visiting my FTF entry!

It's been a while since I last went to Starbucks. My toddler is addicted to their drinks, she can finish a grande frappe all by herself that why we rarely visit it now.

I should try this during my me-time.

Late visit Food Friday. Here's mine: Baked Cheese in Filo Pastry
