Chicken Grape Almond Sandwich

Starbucks is one of my favorite places to go to when I'm craving for a quick sandwich fix. They recently launched a couple of new sandwiches in their menu so I decided to try one of them.

Chicken Grape Almond on Ciabatta Bread (Php150)

Delicious chicken, tart- sweet grapes, crunchy celery, roasted chopped almonds, sliced sundried tomatoes held together with tangy lemon mayo sauce with hints of tarragon and sliced Emmenthal cheese on crusty Ciabatta bread.

Wow... that sound like a lot in one sandwich! Not being a fan of anything creamy or with mayonnaise, I was kinda hesitant to try this. But since it looked and sounded delicious, I gave it a go. Surprisingly, I liked it! I never thought that such flavors of the chicken, lemon mayo, almonds and grapes would complement each other so well. Good thing they didn't put lots of the mayonnaise dressing so I got to appreciate the filling. The celery was a bit overpowering though when you get to bite it.

I was a bit in a hurry so I didn't have it reheated (also because they sometimes toast the bread so much, it becomes hard to eat). However, this one passes as a good cold sandwich too. Tastes refreshing with the chicken filling not too hot and the ciabatta was soft and chewy.

I just hope they can add a bit more filling, but overall I'm giving this a thumbs up!

Chicken, grapes, and almond sounds like unlikely combination but very interesting. I haven't been to Starbucks for a while now but I'll make sure to try this once I paid a visit. Thank you for sharing this :)

I love Starbucks coffee. As to their sandwiches... I'm not really a fan. I like your photos though! :) Strawberry belgian waffle pa rin if I'm going for a calorie-filled snack.
