Bacon & Cheese on Italian Bread

A couple of weeks ago, sister and I decided to dropby Starbucks to grab some frappuccinos since it was so hot. While waiting at the counter, she saw this sandwich on the display and got interested to buy one for her dinner. This is one of Starbucks' latest offerings, the Bacon & Cheese on Italian Bread.

We had it for take-out and she just reheated it at home before she ate it. Her verdict? It's delicious but sinful! She never ate pesto before but surprisingly, she liked this. The sandwich has a pesto mayonnaise dressing mixed with different kinds of cheese, bacon and sundried tomato. The sandwich was very flavorful and gladly, they didn't scrimp on the fillings. What we noticed though is it is very oily! After she finished the sandwich, you can see traces of oil on her plate. Probably it's because the bread itself is buttered plus the bacon inside so you can imagine how oily it can really be. But overall, she said it's a good treat.
